LIFEGROUPS

Doing Life Together

Life Groups are an essential part of our church as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshiped in large settings in synagogues as well as in homes, we unite similarly to be in deeper fellowship with God and others. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community through men's and women's groups, gatherings, and other personal settings.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

1 John 4:7-8 ESV

Life Groups

We believe the church is the family of God, called to live out the mission to advance His Kingdom. Because we are God's children through Jesus, we are to live as brothers and sisters. The church is not a building, place, or program, but a collection of God's people.

Living in communion with one another is essential to growing in the Gospel and becoming more like Christ. Showing up to a Sunday gathering is great, but we also desire to see everyone involved in a Life Group. A Life Group is not merely a mid-week program, but a family of servants who strive to lead and grow disciples daily. We love to see our Life Groups spending time together, eating meals together, and serving their neighborhoods. It is not just a task to complete or an event to attend, but a way of doing life.

Currently, we have six Life Groups that we hope to grow and multiply continually.

The Pleasant View Women's Ministry is for all the ladies. There are a variety of events planned for the women, including a regular ladies' breakfast at a local restaurant.

The Men's Ministry hosts a monthly breakfast and offers support for all the men at Pleasant View.

Acts 29 is a singles group at Pleasant View, although all are welcome!  They plan numerous activities and participate in an engaging Sunday School class.

Homebuilders

The Homebuilders include young married couples and young families at our church. The couples participate in their own Sunday School class as their children interact with each other through our Children's Ministry. Various family-friendly events planned for this group provide an invaluable opportunity for fun, friendship, and encouragement.

Bereans

The Bereans group consists of couples at Pleasant View that are, or will soon be, empty nesters.

Sewing Circle

The Sewing Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month from 9 am to 3 pm to quilt and knot comforters. They adhere to East Holmes Local School District weather cancellations. Therefore, if there is no school due to weather or road conditions, the Sewing Circle is also cancelled.
